Born and raised in Wiener Neustadt, Austria I got my first camera from my grandfather while I was in kindergarten (one of those blue-yellow Fisher Price models). It wasn’t until my late teens though that photography became a more serious interest to me. I was guitarist for the rock band „The Ash“ and somehow I felt the urge to document rehearsals, gigs and studio sessions. At this point I was finally heading out to buy my first DSLR camera and a 50mm prime lens.
After studying jazz guitar at the conservatory of Vienna for two years I decided to expand my creative work and education across other types of media. As I was more and more getting into photography, videography and design at that time, music alone just wasn’t enough anymore and I felt the urge to compose using not only my ears but also my eyes.
In 2012 I got hired by 1000PS Internet GmbH, an austrian company which on the one hand runs one of the largest motorcycle-related channels on YouTube and on the other hand produces commercial photography and videos for the big names in the motorcycle industry such as BMW Motorrad, KTM, Suzuki, Ducati and Yamaha.
As my passion for rock music never vanished over the years I got very interested in concert photography. In 2018 I finally had the privilege to go on tour as photographer for Kaiser Franz Josef, a 2-times Amadeus Music Award winning rock band from Austria. With numerous dates including opening slots for Billy Idol in Luxemburg, Switzerland, Budapest, Cologne, Berlin, Hamburg and Munich this job has been a personal highlight for me so far.
